Response to Lisa Everett's Resignation & Misleading Statements to LD29 Members
Dear Lisa,
We received your email sent early this morning (See Copy Below) to LD29 Precinct Committeemen. While your resignation as Chair marks the conclusion of a long and difficult chapter for our district, your message contained numerous false and misleading statements that deserve clarification for the sake of transparency and the integrity of LD29.
Over the past year, multiple Precinct Committeemen—including myself, the Skvaras, and many others—have repeatedly sought unity, accountability, and respect within our LD. The factual record reflects this:
The MCRC Executive Guidance Committee formally Censured you on September 2, 2025, by a vote of 23–6, citing six serious violations of Republican principles and ethical standards.
An overwhelming Vote of No Confidence was passed by 76 voting members at our October LD29 meeting. These actions were not led by “disruptors,” but by duly elected Republicans acting within their rights under our bylaws.
Numerous written complaints, documented emails, and meeting transcripts show consistent patterns of disrespect, blocking communications, delayed financial receipts, and misuse of LD funds for your personal legal expenses.
Your claim that a “forged PC application” was submitted to the county is entirely false and defamatory. If you have evidence to support that serious accusation, you should present it to the proper authorities rather than using it to malign fellow Republicans.
Regarding LD finances, the facts are clear. At the end of September, our bank balance was $1,330, down from $6,129 the previous year, and far less than the $10,400 held by our LD29 Democratic counterparts. The decline is directly linked to poor fiscal management, questionable spending on newsletters reaching 8,500 non-member emails, and the use of LD funds to pay personal legal expenses—all documented and reported to MCRC.
It is also misleading to suggest that others have refused to fundraise. Many of us refused only to participate in events where there was no accountability, no transparency, and no clear assurance that the funds raised were used appropriately.
Your resignation, while long overdue, provides LD29 the opportunity to rebuild and restore trust, civility, and Republican unity under new leadership that values every member’s voice.
I sincerely hope you will reflect on the harm caused by your recent public accusations and refrain from further divisive statements. The PCs of LD29 deserve an honest and respectful environment—something that has been absent for far too long.
Respectfully,
Frank Jugo
Treasurer, LD29 Republicans
